Recently, one of the important events of the 7th Hainan Island International Film Festival, the "Seminar on Marine Culture and Tourism Imaging," was successfully held at the Sanya Mangrove International Convention Center. The theme of this seminar is "Telling the Story of Light and Shadow, Shaping a Blue Future Together". It is hosted by the Ocean Culture and Tourism Branch of the China Ocean Engineering Consulting Association and attracted more than 200 guests from the government, academia, film and television creation, and related industries to jointly explore the role and path of image art in promoting ocean culture, promoting cultural tourism integration, and serving the strategy of building a strong ocean country. Imaging is the most intuitive and infectious way to showcase the charm and value of the ocean. ”In his speech, Chen Jiyang, Executive Vice Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Provincial Film Bureau, expressed his expectation for all sectors to gather wisdom and jointly explore how to use light and shadow art to promote the dissemination of marine culture and the development of marine tourism. He also welcomed global film and television talents to use Hainan as a stage and the ocean as a theme to create more high-quality works and paint a new picture of the construction of a maritime power and Hainan Free Trade Port. In the keynote speech segment, five experts and scholars shared their views from multiple dimensions, including global ocean governance, industrial practice, ecological protection, scientific cognition, and humanistic records, with clear viewpoints and rich content. In order to promote the creation and implementation of marine culture themed film and television works, a signing ceremony for "Marine Culture Tourism Image Co creation" was also held on site, officially launching the co creation plan for the marine themed film and television work "Beach Rescue Team". This seminar vividly demonstrated the powerful potential of images as cultural carriers in connecting people with the ocean, shaping ocean awareness, and promoting sustainable development, injecting deep and lasting cultural impetus into the construction of a maritime power.
