The parties involved purchased 593 electric bicycles of a certain brand in 10 different specifications and models in three separate purchases, and replaced the electric bicycle saddles with free extra long saddles. After inspection, none of them met the mandatory national standards. The Market Supervision Bureau of Qingpu District, Shanghai, has issued an administrative penalty of 143300 yuan for Shanghai Yongjia Trading Co., Ltd. for illegal activities such as failing to establish and implement a purchase inspection system, selling electric bicycles that do not meet mandatory national standards, and illegally modifying electric bicycles. The penalty includes warning, confiscation of illegal gains, and confiscation of 112 involved vehicles. The two batches of electric bicycle products purchased by the parties involved did not provide proof materials such as purchase documents, which violated the purchase acceptance system. At the same time, there were illegal modifications such as adding trunk, protective fence, battery storage box, and replacing extended seats. After commissioned inspection, the overall vehicle quality, size restrictions, battery tamper resistance, and other items did not meet mandatory national standards. Shenzhen Casiwell Technology Co., Ltd. is engaged in the development, design, production, and sales of electric bicycles, and claims on a live streaming platform that its products can achieve a speed of over 50km/h after optimization. Law enforcement personnel found during on-site inspection that the relevant products did not meet the mandatory national standards, and an administrative penalty of confiscating illegal gains of 9500 yuan, 5 involved vehicles, and a fine of 108600 yuan was imposed in accordance with the law.
