Whoever has the advantage of information has the initiative on the battlefield. ”After the training, the overall commander sighed and said, "In modern warfare, controlling information power is the key to winning the war. The intelligent integration of multi-source data has doubled the transparency of the battlefield." Since the implementation of the "14th Five Year Plan" for the construction of our military, the construction of the network information system has always been highly valued. In October 2022, the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasized the need to build a strong strategic deterrence force system, increase the proportion of new domain and new quality combat forces, accelerate the development of unmanned intelligent combat forces, and coordinate the construction and application of network information systems. On April 19, 2024, President Xi Jinping awarded the military flag to the Information Support Force and delivered a training speech. This newly created strategic branch has embarked on a new journey of building a strong military. Since the adjustment and establishment, the Information Support Force has deeply implemented the military strategic guidelines of the new era, accelerated the construction of a network information system that meets the requirements of modern warfare and has our military characteristics, and focused on improving our military's joint combat capabilities and global combat capabilities based on the network information system. The integration of cyberspace system and joint operations is accelerating. In a certain exercise command center, the commander lightly taps the touch screen to gather multiple sources of information such as navigation data, ground assault group coordinates, air firepower unit status, and naval vessel trajectories, forming a clear and three-dimensional battlefield scene. From network attack and defense to information reconnaissance, from data fusion to situational awareness, as a key force in the joint combat system, the information support unit achieves deep coupling with various branches of the military in the practice of preparing for war. The power of cyberspace extends to the forefront of the mission. In January of this year, during Xizang's scheduled earthquake relief, the information support forces stationed in Tibet quickly stepped forward to open the "communication lifeline" in the plateau of more than 4400 meters above sea level, and ensured the smooth completion of the earthquake relief task. At a certain field training ground, in a new type of combat cabin, combat instructions such as "unmanned aerial vehicle forward reconnaissance, firepower unit ready to strike" are efficiently circulated and directly reach the front-line mobile team. At the same time, frontline special operations team members receive real-time target information through individual terminals, and the "mobile communication" information network covers various battle positions. The use of online communication reshapes the style of warfare. The level of construction and application of network information system directly determines the effectiveness of combat command system, intelligence reconnaissance system, firepower strike system, comprehensive support system and other aspects. Not long ago, a group of "data officers" were active on the training ground of a certain trial unit. Some of them are responsible for collecting and updating various types of data information, some are responsible for analyzing and processing data information, and some are responsible for using data information to organize review and evaluation. In a practical training, a certain task force sends information support requests through the command system, and a combat support unit of the information support force thousands of miles away obtains support tasks from the "data pool" deployed in the cloud, quickly completing the dynamic allocation of network resources. Relying on the new generation of intelligent assistance systems, the utilization of military data resources is more efficient, and the efficiency of battlefield command and decision-making is greatly improved. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the construction of the cyberspace system has accelerated the improvement of our military's joint combat capabilities.
