Snow Dragon 2 participates in fuel supply at Zhongshan Station for the first time

On the early morning of December 3rd Beijing time, a snowmobile left the "Xuelong 2" with a full fuel tank and headed towards Zhongshan Station. Recently, the "Xuelong" spacecraft, which is carrying out China's 42nd Antarctic exploration mission, arrived at the outer edge ice of Zhongshan Station in Antarctica. The Snow Dragon 2 arrived in the area first on November 25th Beijing time. Two ships are collaborating to carry out large-scale unloading operations in the Zhongshan Station area. This assignment will involve the unloading and transportation of approximately 2000 tons of various materials. According to the plan, the overall unloading operation will last for about 15 days. According to Li Wenming, the chief engineer of the "Xuelong 2", it is the first time that the "Xuelong 2" has supplied fuel to the research station. (New Society)
