The 16th Macau Youth Diplomacy Knowledge Competition Finals were held

The final of the 16th Macau Youth Diplomacy Knowledge Competition, organized by the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau and the Macau SAR Government, was held on the 2nd at a vocational school. Cheng Lei, Acting Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau, and Gong Zhiming, Representative of the Secretary for Social and Cultural Affairs of the SAR Government and Director of the Education and Youth Bureau, attended and delivered speeches. More than 300 people, including officials from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macau, the People's Liberation Army stationed in Macau, relevant departments of the SAR government, heads of educational institutions, and representatives of teachers and students, attended the finals. This competition attracted nearly 10000 students from 37 secondary schools in Macau to participate. The 8 teams that made it to the finals gave brilliant discussions on the global significance of "One Country, Two Systems" and the four major global initiatives. In the end, Jingping School, Haojiang Middle School, Sheng Kung Hui (Macau) Cai Gao Middle School, and Jiao Ye Middle School stood out and won the first, second, fourth, and third place respectively. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated in a video message that the competition has become a golden brand for education on national conditions and patriotism in the special economic zone. I hope that students can strengthen their patriotism, cherish the opportunities of the times, establish lofty aspirations, and become good builders and successors of the "One Country, Two Systems" cause. Cheng Lei said that students should have a strong sense of patriotism, study hard, strive for progress, and become the backbone of the country and Macao's construction as soon as possible. Gong Zhiming stated that young people in Macau should take the competition as an opportunity to establish themselves in Macau, embrace the country, and look to the world, telling the stories of Macau and China well.
