On November 29, 2025, in the Dahaizi Wetland of the Dashanbao Black necked Crane National Nature Reserve in Zhaotong, Yunnan, black necked cranes overwinter and reside here. In recent years, Zhaotong City has continuously strengthened the ecological restoration of wetlands in Dashanbao Nature Reserve, promoted wetland protection, monitoring, patrol, scientific research, and popular science education. A smart monitoring system has been established and sufficient food has been stored to ensure the safe overwintering and reproduction of birds such as black necked cranes. (New Society)
