A batch of traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic and treatment equipment and standing medicines arrived at the Kathmandu Civil Service Hospital in Nepal on November 30th and were delivered to the Chinese aid medical team for use in Nepal. It is reported that this is the first batch of specialized equipment and drugs donated by the Chinese aid medical team to the hospital, including traditional Chinese medicine directional transparent therapy device, specific electromagnetic wave therapy device, infrared thermal radiation therapy device, and multiple boxes of commonly used drugs. Mohan Chandra Regmi, the director of Kathmandu Civil Service Hospital, led several hospital management to attend the handover ceremony. He expressed gratitude for China's generous assistance and pointed out that the entry of the Chinese medical team to Nepal has brought advanced medical technology and valuable clinical experience to hospitals and Nepalese people, especially the use of traditional Chinese medicine technology by Chinese doctors to relieve patients' pain, which has gained the trust of local people. Yang Liang, the captain of the Chinese medical team assisting Nepal, told reporters that since the establishment of the Kathmandu branch nearly a year ago, two Chinese team members have treated more than 7000 patients from China, Nepal and other countries in the hospital. With the increasing demand for diagnosis and treatment, existing equipment is no longer sufficient for clinical use. This aid equipment will mainly be used for the treatment of common local diseases such as neck, shoulder, waist, leg pain, arthritis, etc. The accompanying drugs will also be set up as "free small pharmacies" to help Nepal's medical industry develop with high quality and contribute Chinese strength to deepening cooperation in the field of health between China and Nepal. The Chinese aid medical team to Nepal has been stationed at the B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Chitwan, southern Nepal since 1999, and settled at the Kathmandu Civil Service Hospital in late December 2024. So far, nearly 300 medical workers from multiple hospitals in Hebei Province have participated in the implementation of the aid to Nepal medical mission, which has been extended to the 16th batch.
