The 2025 Egypt "China Film Week" recently opened at the Cairo Malik Cinema. In their opening speech at the China Film Week, Chinese guests expressed that the Chinese film market is open and inclusive. China encourages the film industry of both sides to strengthen cooperation, actively carry out co production business, introduce films from each other's countries, and welcome more Egyptian films to be released in China. Ahmed Saleh, Director of the Egyptian National Film Center, stated in his speech that the "China Film Week" is an important component of cultural exchange between Egypt and China. He highly praised the development achievements of Chinese films in recent years and looked forward to further deepening cooperation between the two sides in film production, distribution, and other fields in the future, promoting the continuous expansion of film exchanges between Egypt and China. Mayi Mohammed, a Chinese language student at Cairo University, told reporters that watching movies not only helped her learn Chinese, but also deepened her understanding of Chinese culture. The cultural form of film provides people with a broader way to understand a country and its people, "she said. The movie week will last until December 13th, and audiences will enjoy six Chinese films, including "Lychee in Chang'an," "Nanjing Photography Studio," "Lion Boy 2," "Chasing the Wind," "Sinking Lisbon Pill," and "Panda Plan.
