Do not create falsehoods, but instead focus on pragmatism

2025-12-01

The work of the military should be pragmatic, practical, and implemented, without accepting false words, not listening to superficial tactics, not adopting fancy names, and not creating falsehoods. Political work should particularly follow this requirement. Throughout the political and military building process of our army, we have always adhered to the principles of seeking truth from facts, seeking truth from facts, and being pragmatic, and fought fiercely against the "false great void". When we adhere to the principle of "not promoting falsehoods but promoting pragmatism", our army will win victory; When the 'fake void' takes advantage of loopholes, military construction will suffer losses. Seeking truth and pragmatism, and creating a false void, are two opposing relationships, two styles, and two approaches. In the past period of time, there have been some negative phenomena in the field of military political work, including subjective imagination, forced application, and mechanical rigidity; Only those who follow above have eyes higher than the top, and there are no officers or soldiers in sight; Those who are detached from the center include self design and self circulation; There are those who have arbitrary rights, such as following their own will, ignoring rules, and so on. In the eyes of some people, the fake void smells bad and tastes delicious. It is faster to follow the wrong path than to follow the right path, more effective to plant flowers and respond to the situation than to overcome obstacles. It is more cost-effective to handle one's own affairs than to serve officials and soldiers. Seeking stability and maintaining success is more secure than maintaining integrity and innovation. Once personal interests gain the upper hand, there will be serious deviations in the views of political achievements, power, and the masses, consciously or unconsciously leading to political work being wasted and wasted. Continuously deepening political training, a key task is to restore and promote the fine traditions of political work, strike at the false void, and bring political work back to a series of authentic origins such as seeking truth from facts, serving the center, and focusing on people. Lifelines cannot be weakened, and combat effectiveness cannot be dissipated. Comrade Zhou Enlai pointed out the weaknesses of the Kuomintang's work from top to bottom in "Political Work in the Anti Japanese War Army": political work mostly stayed in the organs and did not go to the troops; So the performance is a textual work of the organization, without actual education in the military. At the same time, it reminds us to be aware that many jobs often focus only on form and pay less attention to content, resulting in ineffective outcomes. The warning words are still ringing in my ears. If political work is "superficial" but not "heartfelt", and if it is empty but not only true and practical, it will become an empty machine with only superficial appearances. The more idling there is, the more it will make officers and soldiers feel alienated and disgusted, until it shakes the foundation of political military building. To avoid fabricating falsehoods and instead focus on pragmatism, the key is to break free from the constraints of personal interests and desires, truly let the word "reality" stand firm and the word "truth" enter one's heart, truly take the word "war" as the concept, think according to the rules, plan for officers and soldiers, and work towards victory in battle. High level party committees and senior cadres must take the lead as banners, transform their concepts and work styles, take the lead in telling the truth, investigating the situation, and doing practical things, rectify the "first mile", stimulate the "vitality of the flock of geese" with the "leading goose effect", cultivate the "true spirit" of seeking truth and pragmatism, enhance the "practical strength" of preparing for war, and promote political work to return to its essence, regain credibility, and exert its power.
