Guangzhan high-speed railway starts trial operation

2025-11-28

Recently, with the trial operation of high-speed trains departing from Guangzhou Baiyun Station and heading west towards Zhanjiang North Station, the Guangzhou Zhanjiang high-speed railway has entered the trial operation phase. The Guangzhou Zhanjiang High speed Railway is an important component of the national "Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals" high-speed railway network's coastal railway passenger transport corridor. The main line is 401 kilometers long, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, passing through cities such as Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Yunfu, Yangjiang, Maoming, Zhanjiang, etc. It is an important channel connecting the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Hainan Free Trade Port, and Beibu Gulf urban agglomeration. At present, the Guangzhou Zhanjiang high-speed railway passes through 10 stations in Guangzhou, including Baiyun, Foshan, Fozhao, Xinxing South, Yangchun East, Yangjiang North, Mata, Maoming South, Wuchuan, and Zhanjiang North. Since the dynamic testing of the Guangzhou Zhanjiang high-speed railway started in August, China Railway Guangzhou Bureau and Guangdong Railway Investment Group have organized coordination meetings multiple times. The joint debugging and testing command center has carefully organized and launched various tests such as step-by-step speed increase, signal testing, and earthquake testing of the high-speed trains. At present, all the test contents of the joint debugging and testing stage, including passenger boarding and landing, information customer service, disaster prevention, and comprehensive video, have been completed for the entire line. After the Guangzhou Zhanjiang high-speed railway project is put into use, it will significantly shorten the time and space distance between western Guangdong and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, greatly improve transportation capacity, and effectively improve the travel conditions of the people in western Guangdong.
