The Supreme People's Procuratorate recently released six typical cases of public interest litigation for the protection of minors, including the "Dongcheng District Procuratorate of Beijing Supervises the Implementation of Administrative Public Interest Litigation for Preferential Film Viewing for Minors". This batch of typical cases are all administrative public interest litigation cases, namely "Dongcheng District Procuratorate in Beijing supervises the implementation of preferential treatment for minors to watch movies", "Huishan District Procuratorate in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province supervises the rectification of 'children's lottery' administrative public interest litigation cases around schools", "Xiji County Procuratorate in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region supervises the elimination of hazardous chemical safety hazards in schools", "Mengjin District Procuratorate in Luoyang City, Henan Province supervises the rectification of invasive alien species endangering the health of minors", "Fuzhou City Procuratorate in Fujian Province supervises the rectification of illegal rental of motor vehicles to minors", "Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County Procuratorate in Chongqing City supervises the protection of the travel rights of minors in mountainous ethnic areas" administrative public interest litigation cases. This batch of cases presents five significant features: in terms of protection scope, it achieves comprehensive coverage of minors' rights to survival and protection, as well as their rights to development and participation; In terms of performance, we will promote the further transformation of juvenile prosecution services towards "comprehensive performance", and form a working pattern of coordinated efforts among the "four major procuratorates" of criminal, civil, administrative, and public interest litigation; In terms of case handling methods, emphasis is placed on both precise standardization and quality and efficiency improvement, and substantive solutions to problems are promoted through mechanisms such as priority stop loss and government inspection linkage; In terms of technological application, fully leverage the efficiency of digital prosecution and use big data models to discover clues and evaluate their effectiveness; In terms of regional distribution, attention should be paid to the balance between the eastern, central, and western regions, and the role of case guidance should be played to promote a more balanced development of public interest litigation for minors. The head of the Minors' Procuratorate of the Supreme People's Procuratorate stated that this batch of cases is released in conjunction with the "Guidelines for Handling Public Interest Litigation Cases for the Protection of Minors by People's Procuratorates", providing specific demonstrations for local procuratorial organs to handle similar cases. Through the exemplary and leading role of typical cases, it will promote the formation of more replicable and promotable experiences and working methods of public interest litigation for the protection of minors, fully demonstrating the sustained effectiveness of the procuratorial organs in the field of minors' protection. Next, the procuratorial organs will continue to increase their efforts in public interest litigation for the protection of minors, focus on prominent issues of protection of minors that have been strongly reflected by the people, handle more leading and exemplary cases, and provide stronger judicial guarantees for the healthy growth of minors.
