On November 24th, it was learned from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism that during the 14th Five Year Plan period, China's achievements in the protection of intangible cultural heritage were outstanding, making positive contributions to building a cultural power, meeting the needs of the people for a better life, and promoting high-quality economic and social development. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the fifth batch of 325 national level representative projects of intangible cultural heritage were announced, the sixth batch of 942 national level representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage were announced, 14 national level cultural and ecological protection experimental areas passed the acceptance inspection, and the number of national and provincial cultural and ecological protection areas reached 276. The China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and 9 provincial-level intangible cultural heritage museums in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Xinjiang, etc. are open for operation. The protection and inheritance team of intangible cultural heritage has become stronger. Deeply implement the research and training program for Chinese intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and support more than 100 universities to hold research and training classes. The work pattern, led by the administrative management department of intangible cultural heritage, with the intangible cultural heritage protection center, intangible cultural heritage museum, and intangible cultural heritage protection association as the backbone, and with extensive participation of social forces, is more complete.
