The defendant Liu was sentenced to three years and six months in prison and fined 5000 yuan for theft. After examination, the procuratorial organ believes that Liu secretly transferred money from others through deception with the purpose of illegal possession, and his behavior has constituted the crime of theft. On December 13, 2024, the Xingyi City Procuratorate filed a public prosecution against Liu on suspicion of theft. On August 7, 2025, the court sentenced Liu to three years and six months in prison and fined him 5000 yuan for theft in the first instance.
