The reporter learned from Beijing Xinghe Power Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xinghe Power") that at the flight fault zeroing review meeting organized by the company on the 20th, the review team formed a conclusion after discussion and questioning: the problem was accurately located, the mechanism was clear, the problem was reproduced, the measures taken were verified to be effective, and the extrapolation was completed, which can be zeroed. On November 10th, the Ceres 1 (Y19) carrier rocket carried out a commercial launch mission at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and ignited and took off at 12:02 pm. The first, second, and third stages of the rocket flew normally, separated normally, and the fourth stage ignited normally. After 510 seconds of flight, the orbit control engine shut down abnormally early, and the satellite could not be sent into orbit. After the failed launch mission, Star River Power quickly established a zeroing working group to thoroughly investigate and analyze the cause of the malfunction. Through design and production process review, fault tree sorting, bottom event analysis, problem localization and mechanism analysis, etc., the cause of the fault was identified, and the problem was reproduced and improvement measures were verified through ground thermal vacuum and other tests. It is reported that the problem was caused by the prolonged high temperature radiation of the 2500 N rail control engine, which led to the high temperature of the solenoid valve control cable and the failure of the PTFE insulation layer, resulting in a short circuit in the power supply of the solenoid valve. The rail control engine shut down abnormally early, causing the flight mission to fail. (New Society)
