At the end of 2024, seven departments issued the "National Whole Grain Action Plan (2024-2035)", aimed at increasing the supply and consumption of whole grains, helping to save food and reduce losses, and improving food security and people's health levels. In order to promote dynamic balance between the supply and consumption of whole grain food, many local enterprises have created whole grain food that is more in line with the characteristics and habits of mass consumption by promoting innovation in key common technologies of whole grains. The preparation technology of high-quality whole wheat flour and whole wheat flour products, led by the Grain Storage and Loss Reduction Team of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, has been widely applied. Enterprises in Yantai, Qingdao and other places have utilized this technology to achieve large-scale production of frozen whole wheat flour cakes, whole wheat noodles and other products, which have received good market response. Expert Wang Jingjing from the Global Food Economy and Policy Research Institute of China Agricultural University suggests increasing the analysis of the environmental, nutritional, and health effects, as well as food security effects of whole grains throughout the entire production, storage, transportation, processing, and consumption chain; Accelerate the formulation and revision of national and industry standards for terminology, classification, labeling, and inspection and testing of whole grains; Strengthen the formulation and revision of standards for whole grain raw materials, whole grain staple foods, and whole grain convenience foods.
