At 5:00 am on November 15th, on the platform of Hankou Station, neatly packed packages of 10 tons of clothing, fresh produce, electronic products, etc. were arranged in an orderly manner. Railway staff were carrying the packages into high-speed railway carriages. On that day, DJ892 and DJ890 high-speed trains departed from Hankou Station and Guangzhou Baiyun Station respectively, adding high-speed rail express lines to the Central China region and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The Wuhan Guangzhou high-speed railway express line is operated by China Railway Express Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China National Railway Group Corporation, targeting the market. After departing from Hankou Station and Guangzhou Baiyun Station respectively, the DJ892 and DJ890 trains will run at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, using a "point-to-point" direct mode throughout the journey. There is no cargo loading or unloading along the way, and the goods can be quickly stored, transferred, and delivered after railway transportation, achieving "same day departure, next day arrival". Zhang Ting, the manager of the Hankou Station Business Department of China Railway Express, introduced that the Wuhan Guangzhou high-speed railway express line mainly serves goods with high timeliness requirements such as fresh food, business express, biomedicine, electronic products, etc. For this, the train is equipped with exclusive packaging and temperature monitoring systems to ensure optimal quality upon arrival. High speed rail express trains have the advantages of high timeliness, large capacity, all-weather, and green environmental protection for mass transportation of express goods. Previously, high-speed rail express lines such as Kunming to Chengdu, Zhengzhou to Chongqing, and Nanchang to Shenzhen have been opened in China. The launch of the Wuhan Guangzhou high-speed rail express line will further enrich the high-speed rail express products and help promote the coordinated development between Central China and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
