Wulungu Lake National Wetland Park in Fuhai County, Xinjiang is located on the northern edge of the Gurbantunggut Desert and is known as the "Pearl of Junggar". With a water area of 1035 square kilometers, it is one of the top ten freshwater lakes in China. The park has a large area of natural wetlands and surrounding desert ecosystems, which are an important support for maintaining regional ecological balance and an ideal habitat and breeding ground for birds.
