According to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Information Service on the 10th, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Candidate Qualification Review Committee (Qualification Review Committee) has completed the review of the nominations of 161 candidates for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Legislative Council general election. The qualification review committee considers that all candidates meet the statutory requirements and conditions of supporting the Basic Law of Hong Kong and being loyal to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and rules that their nominations are valid. The nomination period for the 2025 Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Legislative Council general election will begin on October 24th and end on November 6th. During the nomination period, the Returning Officers of 10 geographical constituencies, 28 functional constituencies, and Election Committee constituencies received a total of 161 nomination forms.
