New exhibition at the Forbidden City reveals the underground Forbidden City

The "Under the Nine Heavens - Archaeological Achievements Exhibition of the Former Site of the Palace Museum Construction Office" will be held from November 4, 2025 to February 8, 2026 in the Yongshou Palace Exhibition Hall of the Palace Museum and will be open to the public free of charge. The exhibition focuses on the results of a five-year archaeological excavation conducted at the former site of the Palace Museum since 2020, divided into two units: "The History of the Earth under the Forbidden City" and "The Handicraft Center of the Forbidden City".
