The 15th World Socialist Forum, hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, opened in Beijing on November 3rd. More than 300 people, including overseas Communist Party leaders, some foreign ambassadors in China, Chinese and foreign experts and scholars, gathered together to focus on the theme of "the crossroads of world history and the choices of people of all countries", and to conduct in-depth discussions on topics such as "Chinese path to modernization and the new form of human civilization", "the rise of the global South and the reform of the global governance system", "the new characteristics and new development of world socialism in the face of major changes", so as to talk about the way of world socialist development. The attending guests stated that China's four major global initiatives have contributed wisdom and strength to solving the current global governance dilemma and guiding the future development direction of humanity, and have had an increasingly widespread and far-reaching impact on global governance. The practice and exploration of Chinese path to modernization have effectively broken the myth of "modernization=westernization" and brought new vitality to the development of socialism in the world. The attending guests highly praised China's positive role as a responsible major country in international affairs, and believed that socialist forces must bravely shoulder the historical mission of defending international law and opposing war. Global progressive forces should uphold the spirit of "uniting the proletariat of the world" and jointly build a more fair and inclusive global governance pattern. It is understood that the World Socialist Forum began in 2004. As an integral part of the construction of the Marxist theoretical battlefield of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, this forum is committed to becoming an important platform for philosophical and social science workers to exchange ideas.
