"Recently, a short-term erhu training was successfully held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Berlin, Germany. Over the course of two weeks, Zhou Yini, a doctoral student majoring in erhu at the Central Conservatory of Music, presented the history of erhu development, performance techniques, and appreciation of classic pieces, leading German students to experience the melodious and deeply moving sound of erhu up close. This erhu training originated from the "Hua Le Lian Xin · Co compose the Future" Chinese Music Overseas Youth Promotion Program. Since February this year, the program has organized multiple activities worldwide, building bridges for overseas teenagers to experience the charm of Chinese music up close through live teaching, workshops, music performances, video exhibitions, and other content. This promotion plan is initiated by the Center for Cultural and Tourism Exchange between China and Foreign Countries, and is jointly organized by overseas cultural and tourism institutions, well-known music schools and orchestras in China, as well as music institutions and schools around the world. In addition to erhu training in Germany, this year's on-site teaching activities also visited places such as the Malta Chinese Cultural Center to hold pipa training classes; The Guzheng training course held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Bangkok, Thailand has become the most popular training course among students. This year, the music group of Wuxi Ethnic Orchestra visited Sri Lanka and Thailand successively, presenting wonderful performances to local teachers and students, and conducting in-depth exchanges on topics such as classic music, music creation, performance techniques, and cultural inheritance. In September, the music group of China Conservatory of Music visited Argentina and Chile to carry out activities such as music workshops, thematic discussions, performance exchanges, and music teaching and training. In addition, the online "Listen to Me Play Chinese Music" video exhibition attracted young people from 11 countries including New Zealand and Spain to participate, showcasing the enthusiasm and achievements of overseas youth in learning Chinese music and expanding the influence of the event. As of now, this program has been successfully held overseas for 2 years, covering multiple countries such as Spain, Denmark, and Germany, further enhancing the understanding of Chinese culture among the overseas "Generation Z" group.
