According to the Ministry of National Security, passwords are like silent guardians of the digital age, silently guarding our communication privacy, ensuring the security of financial transactions and government systems, and building a "digital Great Wall" to resist intrusion in the intangible cyberspace. However, the seemingly "easy" and "convenient" behaviors in daily life are quietly eroding this crucial defense line. Have you been hit by these bad habits? Wake up in the morning and unlock your phone by typing "123456"; When shopping online, I see my favorite products and can't wait to place an order. The payment password is six digits after my birthday; Logging into the company's OA system, the administrator account name is still lazy to modify, using the initial "admin"... These seemingly effortless "convenient" operations are unknowingly opening up the digital space portal, turning it into an "unguarded city". ——Password setting "Steal some laziness". After deploying a batch of network devices, a certain enterprise failed to modify the initial password according to the standard requirements, resulting in attackers infiltrating the system through brute force cracking methods, ultimately leading to business interruption and core data leakage. ——Add some water to data encryption. A certain hospital did not take encryption protection measures for the patient database, resulting in tens of thousands of medical records being illegally stolen by criminals, and the relevant responsible units were held accountable according to law. ——Password cracking through the 'side door'. Individual entities, for the sake of convenience or to evade regulation, use unauthorized "cracked versions" or non-standard encryption software without national approval. The security and reliability of such software cannot be guaranteed, making it vulnerable to attacks. How to be the "first person in charge" of safeguarding password security? Data leakage not only causes losses to individuals, but may also lead to public safety issues, thereby endangering social stability. The misconception that "passwords are just personal matters" no longer meets the security requirements of the digital age. Everyone is the "first person responsible" for password security. Please remember the following three "password survival rules": - Passwords must be locked with a "dynamic lock". Important accounts (such as payment, social, email, etc.) and key accounts are recommended to use a combination of "letters+numbers+symbols" with a length of no less than 12 characters, and be regularly modified and replaced. For multiple important accounts, differentiation should be made when setting passwords, and "one code goes global" should be rejected. ——Change password with 'Be careful'. When changing your password, you should operate through legitimate channels and not trust unfamiliar calls such as "customer service helps you change your password" or "system upgrade requires verification". The secondary verification information such as SMS verification code is the last line of defense and must be strictly kept confidential. It must not be disclosed to others. ——Key equipment is equipped with armor. Home routers, enterprise office computers, etc. should use high-strength encryption protocols (such as WPA3) that comply with the Password Law, refuse to use "open network" or weak encryption modes, and ensure the security and reliability of network transmission channels. National security agencies remind that password security is not a trivial matter, and standardize operation and memory. Every careful password setting and every standardized encryption operation is laying a solid foundation for Digital China. When you pick up your phone and enter your password, why not spend a few seconds thinking: Is my password really secure? If the general public finds any clue about any organization or individual illegally using password technology to engage in activities endangering national security, they can report to the local national security authority directly through the 12339 national security organ reporting acceptance telephone, the online reporting platform (www.12339. gov.cn), the WeChat official account of the Ministry of National Security reporting channels.
