In order to accelerate the development of low altitude economy in Hong Kong and even the entire Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Greater Bay Area Low Altitude Economy Alliance (GBEA) signed a memorandum of understanding on the 20th to deepen cooperation in education and projects, jointly establish a sound talent cultivation system, and promote the development of low altitude economy. The memorandum was signed on behalf of Hong Kong Legislative Council member and founding chairman of the Alliance, Elizabeth Tse, and the President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Louis Koo Ming. This cooperation aims to combine the scientific research strength of CUHK with the industrial network of the alliance, inject strong impetus into the development of low altitude economy in Hong Kong, and consolidate Hong Kong's leading position in the field of innovative technology. According to the memorandum of cooperation, both parties will integrate resources, jointly develop and promote advanced training courses and certification systems, and establish a sustainable talent development platform. The key areas of cooperation include: strengthening educational cooperation and cultivating talents for low altitude economic industries; Encourage academic exchanges and collaborative research to promote technological progress and industrial development in the field of low altitude technology engineering; Jointly organize seminars, lectures, and visits to enhance communication and collaboration between academia and industry. Lu Yuming stated that the low altitude economy is a new blue ocean for Hong Kong's innovative development and an important engine for promoting future urban development. In the future, universities will continue to promote research and education on low altitude economy, conduct innovative research through interdisciplinary cooperation, promote sustainable development of low altitude economy, and add more relevant undergraduate and graduate courses. At the same time, make good use of the alliance platform to provide students with more internship opportunities and cultivate their professional knowledge and practical abilities in the field of low altitude economy. Ge Peifan stated that the low altitude economy is a strategic emerging industry that is a key focus of national development, and talent is the core driving force for industrial development. She hopes to closely integrate industrial demand with academic research through this collaboration, jointly establish a sound talent cultivation system, provide endless momentum for the vigorous development of the low altitude economy in the Greater Bay Area, and help Hong Kong seize national development opportunities and become an international innovation and science center.
