On the 27th, it was learned from the Gongbei Exit Entry Border Inspection Station that as of the 25th, the total number of inbound and outbound passengers at Gongbei Port this year has officially exceeded 100 million, 27 days earlier than last year. Gongbei Port is an important livelihood port connecting Zhuhai, Guangdong and Macau. Data shows that since the beginning of this year, the daily average number of passengers inspected at the port has remained stable at around 330000, with the highest daily passenger flow reaching 438000, setting a new high for the same period in nearly five years. The annual clearance passenger flow is expected to reach 123 million. The person in charge of Gongbei Border Inspection Station introduced that in the huge passenger flow, the proportion of "frequent travelers" from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao is as high as 80%, among which passengers from the two places, those who go to Australia for work, and cross-border students have become the main force for customs clearance. In November last year, the port piloted the use of intelligent fast channels in the first batch nationwide. In August this year, the number of intelligent fast channels in the port increased to 109. As of now, the number of passengers passing through such channels has exceeded 23 million, and the coverage rate of electronic inspection is about 90% or more, which has improved the efficiency of port clearance. It is reported that in response to the continuous growth of passenger flow, Gongbei Border Inspection Station has established a comprehensive guarantee system. Lin Meihong, the head of Gongbei Border Inspection Station, said that Gongbei Border Inspection Station continues to deepen its cooperation mechanism with Macau, achieving mutual communication and reporting of passenger flow at Guangdong Macau ports; By upgrading the intelligent inspection equipment, the average clearance time for passengers has been reduced to less than 15 seconds.
