China Canada Relations Seminar held in Ottawa, Canada

The Chinese Embassy in Canada recently held a seminar on China Canada relations, and the attendees positively evaluated the progress of China Canada relations. Chinese Ambassador to Canada, Wang Di, stated that China and Canada share extensive common interests and broad cooperation opportunities. We hope that Canada can work together with China to take the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 20th anniversary of the strategic partnership between China and Canada as an opportunity, implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, focus on common interests on the basis of equality and mutual respect, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, enhance cultural exchanges, promote the improvement and development of China Canada relations, and enter the correct track of health, stability, and sustainability as soon as possible, better benefiting the people of the two countries. Wang Di extensively promoted global governance initiatives and called on Canada to support and jointly uphold multilateralism and free trade. Canadian Senator Hu Yuanbao stated that the current Canada China relationship is facing a good opportunity for improvement and development. Both sides should strengthen communication in a forward-looking spirit and seek ways to improve and develop Canada China relations. The founding chairman of the Canadian Business Council, D'Aguilar, praised China's development achievements and called on both sides to establish a correct understanding of each other, maintain the momentum of exchanges, enhance understanding and mutual trust, and strengthen pragmatic cooperation within the framework of strategic partnership. The attending guests had in-depth exchanges on three topics: China Canada relations, cooperation in various fields between China and Canada, and global governance. They supported both sides to strengthen communication and dialogue, expand cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, energy, agriculture, culture, education, tourism, and green development, and properly address their respective concerns. The attending guests highly praised the global governance initiative and supported the two countries to strengthen cooperation in multilateral fields such as climate change, biodiversity, and artificial intelligence.
