According to the National Medical Products Administration, the 2025 Drug Vigilance Work Conference was held in Shandong on October 22. The meeting summarized the achievements of drug surveillance work in China over the past year, analyzed the current situation in depth, and planned and arranged the next stage of work. The meeting pointed out that with the joint efforts of multiple parties, China's drug surveillance system has been further improved, the quantity and quality of reports have steadily increased, and the role of monitoring and evaluation results in improving drug research and development level, strengthening drug quality control, and ensuring public drug safety has become more prominent. The meeting requires all units to continuously enhance risk awareness, strengthen capacity building, continue to strengthen monitoring and signal analysis evaluation of key categories, continuously improve the drug vigilance level of holders, and fully promote the interconnection of multiple means such as drug vigilance, drug sampling, inspection and patrol, and daily supervision, to build a more scientific, accurate, and efficient three-dimensional risk prevention and control system. Representatives from the Drug Supervision Department and Drug Evaluation Center of the National Medical Products Administration, provincial drug regulatory departments, and some provincial drug adverse reaction monitoring centers attended the conference.
