Original title: Rectification of false online posing and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises. Recently, the market supervision department in Changsha, Hunan Province, and the local public security organs have successfully investigated and dealt with a case where an employee of a company fabricated the identity of "former chief female technical hacker of a large technology company" and posted false advertisements. The involved company has been punished according to law, and the relevant illegal accounts have been cancelled. Case review: The carefully fabricated persona of "former chief female technical hacker of a large technology company" was used to create false videos. In February 2025, the network security department of the High tech Branch of Changsha Public Security Bureau discovered that an educational institution in its jurisdiction had released multiple promotional videos on a short video platform claiming that "the former chief female technical hacker of a large technology company was actively live streaming without any attention". In the video, a self proclaimed "former chief female technical hacker from Jiangsu" deliberately creates a false and tragic atmosphere of "technical experts" who live for 8 hours a day but are ignored, in order to ride on the heat and attract attention, induce netizens to purchase courses, and seek profits. After investigation, this seemingly inspirational story is actually a carefully crafted false promotional video. The company did not hire the former chief female technology hacker of a large technology company it claimed to be, and the female anchor in the video is not a "female technology hacker". The content of the video does not match the actual situation. Such false advertising and traffic manipulation behavior misleads netizens and disrupts public order. Joint law enforcement: Multiple departments work together to launch a joint law enforcement mechanism. The Changsha Public Security Network Security Department immediately reports to the market supervision department and cooperates in carrying out verification and disposal. After investigation, it was found that the enterprise has been publishing false posing content on its four short video accounts for a long time in order to attract attention, traffic, and profit, which has violated the relevant provisions of Article 4 and Article 28 of the Advertising Law of the People's Republic of China. According to the law, the market supervision department imposed an administrative penalty of 200000 yuan on the enterprise and ordered it to immediately stop its illegal activities and delete all false videos. Reminder: Building a Clear Network Space 01. When choosing online courses, it is necessary to verify the qualifications of the teaching staff through formal channels; 02. Be wary of marketing tactics such as "insiders" and "exclusive technology", and beware of being deceived. The market supervision department and public security organs will continue to strengthen coordination and cooperation, effectively increase the crackdown on false online marketing, and effectively maintain the order of cyberspace.
