On October 26th, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission released a summary of the nationwide investigation and punishment of violations of the spirit of the eight central regulations in September 2025. In the same month, a total of 28640 cases of violations of the spirit of the Central Eight point Regulation were investigated and dealt with nationwide, with 36870 people criticized, educated, and dealt with. Among them, 26493 people were punished for party discipline and government affairs. This is the 145th consecutive month that the monthly report data has been released. From the perspective of problem types, in terms of fulfilling duties, serving economic and social development, and protecting the ecological environment, there were 10984 cases of misconduct, inaction, disorderly behavior, and false behavior that seriously affected high-quality development. This accounted for 82.9% of the total number of formalism and bureaucracy problems investigated in September. In September, three types of issues were investigated and dealt with: illegal collection and delivery of precious specialties and gifts, illegal eating and drinking, and illegal distribution of subsidies or benefits, accounting for 55.1%, 22.9%, and 11.6% of the total number of hedonism and extravagance issues investigated and dealt with that month, respectively. From the level of investigation and punishment, in September, a total of 102 cases of leading cadres at the prefecture level, 1499 cases of leading cadres at the county level, and 27039 cases of cadres at the township level and below were investigated and punished nationwide. Among them, the problems of township level and below cadres accounted for 94.4% of the total number of issues investigated and dealt with. The style of the Party is the image of the Party, which is related to people's support and the survival of the Party. Disciplinary inspection and supervision organs at all levels should deeply study General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on strengthening the construction of the Party's work style, with a focus on learning, understanding, and implementing the spirit of the Central Eight point Regulation and its implementation rules, and persistently rectify prominent problems of the "four undesirable practices". We need to establish a sound mechanism for regularly identifying and resolving work style issues, enhance the penetration and effectiveness of supervision, and ensure that hidden and mutated work style problems have nowhere to hide. We should solidify the effective experience accumulated in the construction of work style into long-term rules, vigorously implement the system, and use the system to ensure long-term effectiveness.
