Since the former site of Minsheng Machinery Factory was built into Chuanjiang Shipping Culture Park, it has become a daily gathering place for retired employee Wang Changyu and some old colleagues of Minsheng Company. Chongqing is an important shipping center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and there are records of shipping along the Sichuan River in the pre Qin period. After the Qin and Han dynasties, the ancient Sichuan River waterway gradually became a key route for material transportation. From the Tang and Song dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties, the development of the Ba Shu region was constrained by the "difficulty of the Shu Road". The ancient Sichuan River waterway became a "highway" for people to leave Kuimen, and the banks of the Sichuan River also became the cradle of poetry and songs throughout history. In 1909, the Chinese self operated commercial ship "Shu Dao" completed its first voyage from Yichang to Chongqing. In 1925, the famous patriotic industrialist Lu Zuofu founded Minsheng Industrial Company in Chongqing, which operated the Sichuan River route. In 1927, Minsheng Machinery Factory, which mainly engaged in shipbuilding, was built in Jiangbei, Chongqing. During the Anti Japanese War, Minsheng Company transported over 1 million tons of anti Japanese materials, hundreds of thousands of tons of weapons and ammunition, and transported 2.7 million people out of Sichuan for the war. Minsheng Machinery Factory also became the largest shipyard in the rear area. The Chuanjiang Shipping Culture Park, covering an area of 100000 square meters, is the first Chuanjiang Shipping themed park in Chongqing. Creating a three-dimensional spatial structure with the theme of "rapids and boats", facing the continuous flow of the Yangtze River and the constantly flowing boats, the mountain city trails on both sides connect indoor exhibition halls, outdoor parks, and underground air raid shelters like ship sides to form a "three-dimensional river". The entire cultural park is like a giant ship sounding its horn and setting sail. The permanent cultural exhibition "Fenji Chuanjiang" in the cultural park has five themed exhibition areas: "The ancient Chuanjiang boatman's shadow", "Jiangmen's engine sounds", "Chizi Xin industrialist", "The backbone of the beacon", and "New era, new journey, new Chongqing". Visitors can use virtual reality, holographic imaging and other technologies to fully understand the changes in Chuanjiang shipping, the westward migration of ethnic industries, and the history of Chuanjiang shipping and the preservation of anti Japanese war maps. In order to transport troops and anti Japanese war supplies, 117 employees of Minsheng Company unfortunately sacrificed, 76 employees were disabled, and 16 ships were sunk and destroyed. After the start of the new semester, Jiangbei District launched the "Role Model Power" ideological and political course for primary and secondary schools in the whole district - the theme course of "Entering the Chuanjiang Shipping Culture Park".
