Experts believe that the drama clearly outlines the important connection between cultural struggle and national liberation, reveals the inherent logic of resonance between literary and artistic work and the times, and presents a panoramic view of the anti Japanese war spirit and national spirit from a cultural perspective. The TV drama "Battlefield" is set against the backdrop of the "Cultural War of Resistance" in Guilin from 1938 to 1944. It reproduces cultural events such as the founding of the "National Salvation Daily", the creation of the play "One Year", the reform of the Gui opera "Liang Hongyu", and Tao Xingzhi's "Cave Education". It portrays dozens of cultural celebrities in the history of Chinese modern and contemporary literature, news publishing, music, art, and drama, including Xia Yan, Guo Moruo, Tian Han, Jiao Juyin, Ba Jin, Xu Beihong, and Feng Zikai. Experts at the meeting believed that the play presented the "Cultural War of Resistance" under the leadership of the CPC in a panoramic manner, displayed the group images of literati in the beacon ink, portrayed the spiritual transformation of modern Chinese intellectuals from traditional literati to cultural fighters, demonstrated the unique charm of Guilin as a rear area during the War of Resistance and the important position of Guangxi in the history of China's cultural war of resistance, and responded to the proposition of the era of cultural construction, which was of great significance for inheriting the red gene and enhancing cultural self-confidence.
