All members of the 8th Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region were sworn in on the 16th, and Zhang Yongchun was elected as the President of the Legislative Council. On the same day, under the supervision of the Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Cen Ho Fai, 33 members of the 8th Legislative Council of the SAR read out the oath of office required by the Oath of Office Law together and took the oath of office in the presence of the audience. The 8th Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region held its first plenary session in the afternoon of the same day. After anonymous voting by all members, Zhang Yongchun was elected as the President of the Legislative Council and sworn in under the supervision of Cen Haohui. He Runsheng was elected as the Vice Chairman, while Shi Jialun and Li Jingyi were respectively elected as the First and Second Secretaries of the Executive Committee. The 8th Legislative Council election of the Macau Special Administrative Region was held on September 14th, resulting in 14 directly elected members and 12 indirectly elected members, with an additional 7 members appointed by the Chief Executive of the region.
