In the first three quarters of this year, China's foreign trade continued to move forward under pressure, maintaining a steady and positive trend. On October 16th, He Yong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, stated at a regular press conference that it will further strengthen policy reserves and timely introduce new policies to stabilize foreign trade. According to He Yongqian, the import and export of goods in RMB increased by 4% year-on-year in the first three quarters, maintaining positive growth for eight consecutive quarters. The momentum of "upward" and "new" foreign trade has been further consolidated, with exports of high-end equipment, wind power equipment, energy storage products, and other products maintaining double-digit growth. More and more Chinese IPs and brands are entering the international market. Despite the complex and severe global economic and trade environment, we believe that China's foreign trade will respond to various uncertainties with stronger resilience, greater vitality, and better cooperation. ”He Yongqian stated that in the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will focus on three aspects of work: releasing policy effectiveness, promoting trade, and deepening trade cooperation. In terms of releasing policy effectiveness, we will further implement various policies and measures already introduced in the field of foreign trade, and increase service guarantees for foreign trade enterprises in finance, employment, convenience, and other aspects. Do a good job in policy promotion and interpretation, and promote the direct sharing of enterprise related policies. Further strengthen policy reserves and timely introduce new policies to stabilize foreign trade. In terms of promoting trade, the 138th Canton Fair will continue to introduce measures to benefit enterprises, reducing offline booth and online platform fees. Support enterprises to participate in various domestic and international exhibitions, continuously organize trade promotion activities, and help enterprises carry out supply and procurement docking. Dynamically update and release the "Foreign Trade Promotion Information" and "Country Trade Guidelines" to provide enterprises with more overseas market information services. In terms of deepening trade cooperation, we will promote the signing of more high standard free trade agreements and continuously improve the level of openness of free trade agreements. Further increase the proportion of zero tariff products in goods trade and promote the implementation of 100% tariff free measures for products in African countries with diplomatic relations. Continuously leverage the role of open platforms such as the CIIE and actively expand the import of high-quality products. Hong Tao, an expert in market operation regulation of the Ministry of Commerce and director of the Institute of Business Economics at Beijing Technology and Business University, stated in an interview with Shanghai Securities News that the Ministry of Commerce has clearly stated that it will strengthen policy reserves and timely introduce new measures to focus on ensuring the financial needs of foreign trade enterprises, including expanding the coverage of export credit insurance, optimizing cross-border trade settlement processes, and increasing financing support. At the national level, measures such as free trade agreements, supporting enterprises to enter new markets, and promoting the development of digital trade will be taken to further expand foreign trade space.
