The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasizes: "Adhere to the position of Chinese culture, extract and showcase the spiritual symbols and cultural essence of Chinese civilization, accelerate the construction of Chinese discourse and narrative system, tell Chinese stories well, spread Chinese voices well, and showcase a trustworthy, lovely, and respectable image of China." Examining the essence, subject, and relationship with "others" of the spiritual symbols of Chinese civilization from the three aspects of connotation, characteristics, and value can inject stronger historical consciousness and spiritual initiative into the propaganda, ideological and cultural work of the new era and new journey, shoulder new cultural missions, and further revitalize the vitality of Chinese civilization, enhance the cultural influence of the spiritual symbols of Chinese civilization.
