On the 14th, it was learned from the China Manned Space Engineering Office that the international standard project ISO/NP14620-5 "Space Systems - Safety Requirements - Part 5: Manned Spacecraft" proposed by the National Manned Space Standardization Technical Committee has recently been officially registered and approved by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is reported that this is the first international standard successfully established in China's manned spaceflight field, and also the first breakthrough in the formulation of international rules in this field. It provides a "Chinese solution" for promoting the safety of manned spaceflight and will further enhance China's international discourse and influence in manned spaceflight. Based on the research and reference of advanced safety technologies and methods in the field of foreign aerospace, this standard summarizes more than 30 years of safety work experience in China's manned space engineering, proposes unified technical guidance and paradigms applicable to the safety work of manned spacecraft and related products in various countries, and discloses the safety access conditions for participating in manned space work to the world. It is a safety baseline and threshold for implementing manned space activities, developing manned space systems and payload products, and is of great significance for further promoting international cooperation in China's space station. This standard includes safety management requirements for manned spacecraft, safety technical requirements, safety design and verification requirements, and safety requirements for in orbit flight missions. From the perspective of ensuring human life safety, it regulates the safety work of manned space mission development, launch, in orbit operation, return, landing and other stages from the top level. It is applicable to manned spacecraft, cargo spacecraft, space stations and related payload products, and also has guiding significance for the safety design of products related to lunar exploration engineering. Subsequently, the project team will carry out the preparation work of each stage according to the plan to ensure the smooth release and implementation of the standards. (New Society)
