The first Asia Pacific Longevity Medicine International Summit opened in Hong Kong on the 4th. More than 200 medical research experts, investors, and industry representatives from over 20 countries and regions gathered in Hong Kong to discuss cutting-edge issues in the field of longevity medicine. Shi Zhanxiang, Chief Representative of the China Representative Office of the Global Doctors Organization, stated in his opening speech that the Asia Pacific region, as one of the most densely populated regions in the world, has enormous potential in promoting longevity research and innovative technology applications. International cooperation in this field is crucial for social development and a priority for addressing the challenges of population aging globally. Andrew Scott, an economics professor at the London Business School, pointed out in his keynote speech that the widespread pursuit of health and longevity is driving the market to expand from the traditional "silver haired economy" to a trillion dollar "evergreen market". This trend will make the longevity industry a key force in reshaping the future global economic landscape. Leroy Hood, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that with the help of existing data-driven and artificial intelligence technologies, human beings can achieve the goal of a healthy life span of 90 years. Currently, the healthcare model is transitioning from passive "post illness care" to an era of "active health". This summit is hosted by the China representative office of the Global Doctors Organization and will last for two days. During the conference, multiple specialized forums will be held, where experts and scholars will exchange ideas on topics such as the development of longevity clinics, the application of artificial intelligence technology, and investment opportunities in the field of longevity, promoting international cooperation and development in the field of longevity medicine.
