On September 29th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the achievements of high-quality cultural and tourism development during the 14th Five Year Plan period and answer questions from reporters. At the press conference, it was introduced that since the 14th Five Year Plan, China's cultural and tourism public services have benefited both urban and rural areas. The standardization and equalization of public cultural services have been continuously promoted, and the network of public cultural facilities has become more sound. As of the end of 2024, there are a total of 3248 public libraries, nearly 44000 mass cultural institutions, and more than 40000 new public cultural spaces in the country, providing more good places for the public to enjoy cultural services. The national smart library system and public cultural cloud construction have achieved remarkable results, and public cultural services have been brought to the cloud and at the fingertips, allowing ordinary people to enjoy convenient services without leaving their homes.
