Macau announces list of 7 appointed legislators, all members of the 8th Legislative Council elected

The Macao Special Administrative Region Gazette published an executive order on the 29th, appointing seven members of the eighth Legislative Council in accordance with the law by the Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Cen Haohui. Thus, all 33 members of the 8th Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region have been elected. According to Executive Order No. 44/2025 published in the Macao Special Administrative Region Gazette, Cen Haohui appointed Zhang Yongchun, Li Huanjiang, Gao Jinhui, Zhou Jiajun, Lin Faqin, Huang Jialun, and Gao Ansheng as members of the 8th Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China and the Election System of the Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region. The 8th Legislative Council election of the Macao Special Administrative Region was held on the 14th, and the preliminary voting statistics were announced in the early morning of the 15th, resulting in 14 directly elected seats and 12 indirectly elected seats. The overall election results were announced on the 16th, and the election results of 14 directly elected members and 12 indirectly elected members remain unchanged. With the addition of the 7 appointed members announced this time, all 33 members of the 8th Legislative Council will be elected. (New Society)
