On September 25, writers, scholars and Chinese writers from Türkiye, Iran, Egypt, Greece and other countries gathered by the beautiful Oujiang River in the name of literature, and jointly launched a dialogue between Chinese and foreign civilizations to tell the world a good story about China and Zhejiang. In his speech, Guan Pingchao, Vice Chairman of the Zhejiang Writers Association and a well-known online writer, stated that Zhejiang has always been a fertile ground for cultural innovation: from the continuous poetic journey of Tang poetry in eastern Zhejiang to the glorious legend of "a modern Chinese literary history, half of which is in Zhejiang". He said: In today's Zhejiang, we not only have the 'Literary New Zhejiang School' constructed by traditional literary masters such as Ma Jia, Yu Hua, Wang Xufeng, and Ai Wei, but also cultivate a leading group of online writers nationwide, forming a prosperous pattern of dual peaks of traditional literature and genre literature. We gather by the banks of the Oujiang River in the hope of reinterpreting the cultural code of traditional and modern coexistence on this land of Zhejiang through dialogue between Chinese and foreign civilizations. Greek poet, writer, and speaker Tassos stated that China is a country with a history of five thousand years, carrying profound historical heritage and philosophical wisdom. Through this "Beautiful China International Writing Program" collection activity, we deeply feel the brilliant historical context of China. Calligraphy and painting art, poetry treasures, and the Longquan sword all tell the glory of civilization. Egyptian sinologist Li Mu believes that during his time in Zhejiang, he not only saw beautiful scenery, but also felt the warmth of "home". This warmth of 'putting people in her heart' is an important lesson for her to understand China. She believes that China is like a painting, with a long history and cultural heritage as the background, and people's warmth and kindness as the most beautiful colors in this painting. She will persistently convey the "Chinese stories" and "Zhejiang stories" with humanistic warmth and depth of thought to the Middle East and North Africa, and invite friends from all over the world to read, write, and experience China together. Through dialogue with Chinese and foreign writers, we can further bridge the gap between regions and the world, allowing literature to take root in the land and cross oceans.
