Regional cooperation enhances emergency rescue capabilities

2025-09-25

People in the lake area have fallen into the water and request support. Recently, a water rescue training was carried out in the waters of Sancha Lake in Longquanyi District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Based on the regional cooperation mechanism established by Chengdu Garrison, a water rescue force consisting of five military and civilian units quickly responded, closely coordinated, and carried out rescue operations. In response to the problems of poor emergency force cooperation, weak synergy, and single rescue methods in previous disaster relief efforts, Chengdu Garrison District is exploring the establishment of a regional cooperation mechanism to guide military and civilian units to strengthen cooperation in information sharing, command connectivity, military force coordination, and material coordination. In order to closely follow the actual tasks and enhance the emergency response capabilities for flood prevention and disaster relief, the training site for this time was selected in the Sancha Lake area where flood prevention and control tasks are relatively heavy. More than 100 trainees from Jinjiang District, Longquanyi District, Shuangliu District, Chenghua District, etc. were grouped according to their professional expertise, and strengthened their training in the form of "scheme coordination, equipment coordination, course training, and tactics research", focusing on the difficult issues in flood control and rescue tasks, and enhancing their emergency response capabilities for flood control and disaster relief. Water rescue has strong suddenness and high difficulty. Previously, each unit often fought independently, but now through regional cooperation mechanisms, complementary advantages and resource sharing are achieved. ”The leaders of the security zone introduced that since the operation of the regional cooperation mechanism, emergency rescue has changed from "each managing one section" to "mutual assistance", and the response efficiency has been significantly improved. At present, Chengdu Garrison has established a new resource sharing model covering 10 aspects such as national defense education, equipment and materials, and talent construction, further enhancing the regional collaborative combat capability and comprehensive support level.
