When Chinese language encounters artificial intelligence - why can't 'I' be replaced

2025-09-23

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, it is inevitable for AI to encounter Chinese language, and discussing how AI can empower Chinese language teaching has become a hot topic in academia. Chinese language teaching is a journey through ups and downs of "hot topics". How to deal with AI is a test of human emotional intelligence. The uniqueness of the Chinese language subject lies in its ability to help teachers and students constantly understand, construct, enrich, and explore themselves. Artificial intelligence is undoubtedly powerful. In terms of writing alone, it can complete big data retrieval and integration in a short period of time, and can quickly write logically clear and literary articles. In the era of AI, our Chinese language teaching needs to answer a core question: why can't "I" be replaced by AI? In the face of this problem, we must have a more inner and sincere understanding and construction of the 'self' in order to provide truly meaningful answers. AI has arrived, and as an intelligent agent, 'he' is watching how we treat 'him'. Our attitude and approach towards' him 'is itself a test of human emotional intelligence and intelligence. Whether in the past or in the future, humanity will always encounter powerful 'opponents'. It is in the competition with these 'opponents' that humanity has achieved many remarkable breakthroughs and advances. When we consciously or passively encounter AI, is it through the use of AI to show that we are not outdated and clever, or in the process of constantly understanding "him", maintaining a distance of goodwill, keeping our thinking, adhering to independence, and having a clear understanding and cognition of our inner selves? This is an important point in the process of interacting with AI. We need to further confirm and develop our unique value as' humans', and through continuous exploration, identify where we cannot and do not want to be replaced by AI. Only in this way can we establish a long-term, stable, beautiful, and mutually reinforcing relationship with powerful AI. What kind of reading and writing is irreplaceable by AI? Reading and writing are the most important activities in Chinese language teaching, and also one of the most important ways to build and develop "people". When you enter the text, your inner life experience fully participates in the reading experience and creative process, and such reading will create a "personalized" life relationship between you and the work. At this point, AI cannot replace your reading. Because no matter how powerful AI is, it is still a machine, and 'he' has never lived, without his own independent and unique life experiences and experiences. And you are human, you exist alive, with joy, sorrow, happiness, and difficulties... You have your own unique inner life experiences and experiences. When you cannot be replaced by others, AI naturally cannot replace you. Zhu Ziqing wrote in "Moonlight over the Lotus Pond": "Wherever the breeze passes, it brings in strands of fragrance, as if the distant singing on a high-rise building is faint." This passage was appreciated by an artificial intelligence tool, and its core meaning is: "(This sentence) is a classic example of using the 'synesthesia' technique in modern Chinese literature. In just one sentence, sensory experience, artistic conception, and emotional undercurrent are fused into one, which is worth savoring carefully." Then, from the aspects of rhetoric, artistic conception, and emotion, the overall word count is over a thousand words, which can be described as detailed. However, if the above content is directly applied in the classroom, it will be a dull and ineffective Chinese class. From the perspective of writing, high-quality, unique, and personalized language is often stored in our inner life experiences. From smell to hearing, Zhu Ziqing's words may seem unrelated on the surface (so we solemnly give this rhetoric a name: synesthesia), but for someone with rich inner life experiences, connecting the two is actually a natural thing. In the process of Chinese language teaching, the richer, broader, and more solid a person's inner and authentic life experience is established, the more complete, full, and complete a person will be constructed. In a class, one should allow life to settle down calmly and allow changes in teachers and students to occur during the process of "entering" and "enjoying". AI integrated from big data, although efficient and powerful, lacks a solid human step, as well as the sensitivity, richness, happiness, and joy generated by a person's solid step. AI is a tool, and it is more likely that friends can use AI, but it does not mean that we have formed a positive relationship of "human-machine collaboration" with AI; And the formation of this relationship requires looking, thinking, comparing, and considering, in order to reasonably grasp each other. AI is a tool, and it is more likely to be a friend of humans in the future, but there needs to be healthy competition among friends. In the future society, how can AI feel that there will always be a part of us humans that "he" cannot surpass? This involves how our Chinese language teaching should meet AI, and what kind of Chinese language learning cannot be replaced by AI. We meet AI because with the full help of powerful AI, we become bigger, warmer, broader, and richer. We have reason to believe that such humans will also guide future AI to a richer, broader, warmer, and more magnificent realm. Because good friends walk hand in hand. The degree of human development determines the future direction of AI, and humans determine the personality and destiny of AI - what humans are, AI is. Making people more like 'humans' is an important issue that the era has left us with that cannot be avoided after the arrival of AI. The important mission of the Chinese language subject is to facilitate the exploration and understanding of the meaning of one's own life by teachers and students. The emergence of any tool is to help humans break free from some unnecessary constraints in their labor. There is often a part of reading and writing that belongs to this type of labor, so let AI do it. We don't have to compete with AI for work, just like we don't have to compare the load and speed of cars. But for Chinese language teaching, what is more meaningful is the free coexistence between humans and their own souls - at this level of reading and writing, humans are unwilling to let AI do it, and of course, AI cannot do it either.
