On September 22nd, the methanol dual fuel vehicle roll on/roll off ship "Gangrong" docked at the Tianjin Port Global Roll on/Roll off Terminal and carried out 300 tons of domestically produced green methanol shore based refueling operations, marking that Tianjin Port has the ability to supply green methanol on a large scale. It is reported that the "Gangrong" ship is the world's first large vehicle roll on/roll off ship to adopt a methanol dual fuel power system. The methanol used for this refueling is produced in Inner Mongolia, using waste tires and biomass as raw materials. This operation can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 460 tons. (New Society)
