Under the guidance of national strategy, significant achievements in the field of quantum technology in China have emerged frequently. The technological innovation in the quantum field has not only become an important symbol of China's scientific and technological strength, but also gradually moved from the hall of science to the economy and people's livelihood, promoting industrial innovation and the development of new quality productivity. Quantum technology covers three major technological directions: quantum communication, quantum computing, and quantum precision measurement, and China has achieved multiple leading achievements in all of them. Pan Jianwei, an academician of the CAS Member and a professor of the University of Science and Technology of China, said: "China occupies an international leading position in the field of quantum communication, ranks first in the field of quantum computing, and is internationally leading or advanced in some directions in the field of quantum precision measurement." In the field of quantum communication, China launched the world's first quantum science experiment satellite, Mozi, in 2016; Building the world's first long-distance optical fiber quantum secure communication backbone network, the "Beijing Shanghai Mainline"; In March 2025, China will achieve the first space ground quantum communication spanning tens of thousands of kilometers across Asia and Africa; At present, quantum metropolitan area networks have been built in 16 key cities including Hefei, Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou. In the field of quantum computing, China is currently the only country in the world that has achieved "quantum computing superiority" in both superconducting quantum and optical quantum physical systems. In November 2023, China Telecom released the "Tianyan" quantum computing cloud platform, becoming the world's first ultra converged cloud platform with quantum superiority capabilities. It has attracted users from more than 60 countries and has been selected as one of the top ten central enterprises in 2024. In March 2025, a team from the University of Science and Technology of China successfully built the 105 bit superconducting quantum computer "Zuchong No.3", once again breaking the world record for quantum computing superiority in superconducting systems. In the field of quantum precision measurement, China's key technologies in atomic clocks, quantum gyroscopes, etc. have approached the international advanced level, and in quantum radar, trace atom tracing, weak magnetic field measurement, etc., it has reached the international advanced level.
