The 8th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo was held in Dunhuang City, Gansu Province from September 20th to 22nd. During the Dunhuang Cultural Expo, the new version of "Silk Road Flower Rain" made a wonderful appearance at the Dunhuang Grand Theater, bringing a cultural feast that spans thousands of years to the attending guests. In 1979, the large-scale ethnic dance drama "Silk Road Flower Rain" was born in northwest China. The creators sought inspiration from the murals and painted sculptures in the the Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang, and arranged the cultural treasures thousands of years ago into moving stage works. Over the past 40 years, 'Silk Road Flower Rain' has performed more than 4000 times. This new version, after two and a half years of innovation, showcases the vitality of excellent traditional Chinese culture through contemporary interpretation of classic art through restoration and innovation.
