Recently, a themed symphony concert called "Bay Area Huazhang" kicked off the 5th Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival. This year's Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival is jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. It will be held from September 16 to October 16 in 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area. This year's art festival covers five major sections: the "Art Gathering Bay Area" drama exhibition, the "Art Rhyme and Harmony" art lecture hall, the "Art Environment Coexistence" art exhibition, the "Art Beauty Life" benefit activities, and the "Art Color Exchange" performance trading. It includes over 100 high-quality performances, 19 art exhibitions, nearly 150 public welfare performances, and a series of art lectures, presenting a series of cultural and artistic feasts to the people of the Greater Bay Area, showcasing the diverse integration and resonance of the Bay Area's cultural style. The "Bay Area Huazhang" themed symphony concert on the evening of the 16th featured seven original Guangdong symphonic works performed by the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, connecting the international community with the Bay Area, classics with innovation through melodies. The seven composers have different creative techniques and musical vocabulary, but they all focus on depicting the style of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Telling the stories of the Bay Area and China through the international vocabulary of symphony is the common sentiment of the seven composers, "said Chen Qing, the principal of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. The art festival also focuses on the emerging creative hotspots and performance hotspots on the national stage. Combining with some representative performances of the festival, four art lectures will be held from September 17th to 18th, inviting dozens of industry experts to have dialogues and exchanges, and sharing their insights on artistic creation with the public. This year's art festival also collaborates with art museums in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, launching 18 high-quality art exhibitions and hosting a variety of public education and professional exchange activities. Among them, the main exhibition "Contemporary Art Exhibition of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area" will be held from September 1st to October 31st in the White Goose Pond area of Guangdong Museum of Art.
