These two projects have laid a solid ecological and power foundation for local development, and injected new momentum and vitality into the development of China's northwest border areas. To govern a country, it is necessary to govern its borders. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized: "To promote Chinese style modernization, not a single border area should be left behind." Nowadays, the infrastructure in border areas is more complete and the ecological foundation is more solid. How to make good use of these basic conditions and combine them with their own characteristics and advantages to achieve high-quality development? Developing industries is the key to revitalizing border areas and enriching the people. Once the road is connected, the electricity is sufficient, the internet is connected, and the basic conditions are good, it is even more important to transform resource advantages into development advantages. Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County in Dandong, Liaoning Province, not only leverages its advantage of being located in the intersection area of Changbai Mountain's remaining vegetation to develop agroforestry, but also integrates scattered specialties through enterprise agriculture and household cooperation for deep processing. Kashgar, located in the northwest border of Xinjiang, is a popular jujube kernel sect that transforms nucleated red dates and peeled walnuts into hot selling ones; Local wheat is converted into flour and placed on the shelves of supermarkets both inside and outside Xinjiang... From "food security" to "brand creation", from "initial processing" to "full chain", the revitalization of the industry has solidified the foundation for development. By adapting to local conditions and strengthening characteristic industries, the development of border areas will have a grasp, and the prosperity of the people will have a basis. Border areas connect the inside and outside, and have access to all directions. In today's era of developed transportation and perfect logistics, they have enormous advantages. At the Sino Kazakhstan Khorgos International Border Cooperation Center in Xinjiang, Chinese consumers can buy honey from Kazakhstan, blankets from Kyrgyzstan, and dried fruits from Uzbekistan, while Chinese household appliances, furniture, clothing, etc. are also sold to Central Asia, West Asia, Europe, and other places from here. Guangxi is leveraging its geographical advantage of being backed by the motherland and facing ASEAN, actively building an artificial intelligence industry ecosystem of "research and development in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou+integration in Guangxi+application in ASEAN". By actively integrating into the new development pattern and the unified domestic market, while insisting on expanding high-level opening-up to the outside world, border areas have great potential and achievements. The development of border areas cannot be separated from talent support. Due to the relatively remote location, weak infrastructure, and insufficient public service guarantee capacity in border areas, it has been difficult to attract and retain talents. How can we solve this problem? On the one hand, it is necessary to leverage the talent support role of other regions in border areas. For example, this year's college student volunteer service program in the western region has established the "Defending the Country and Border" special project for the first time, injecting a large number of volunteers with surging youth strength into the American border areas. On the other hand, border areas should also continue to improve the environment for entrepreneurship, increase policy support, and provide better conditions for talents. Only by building border areas into a stage for expressing aspirations and a frontline for cultivating talents can we create a good situation for attracting and utilizing talents, injecting a continuous stream of new momentum into development. The power grid spans across the sandy sea, industries are connected to the border, and talents are rooted in the countryside... The border is nurturing new vitality for high-quality development and becoming a new frontier of development. The beautiful scenery of prospering the border and enriching the people is slowly unfolding and urging people to strive forward. We can only strive and dedicate ourselves.
