When the resounding and passionate drums of the Chaozhou 24 Festival, the heroic English songs and dances, and the powerful Chinese martial arts met on the banks of the Danube River, the Hungarian Zen Martial Alliance in Budapest stirred up a "Chinese style". On the 14th, the Chaoxiang Drum Club from Chaozhou, China, and the Hungarian Zen Martial Arts Alliance signed a memorandum of cooperation to jointly create an international dissemination base of Chaozhou culture in Hungary with martial arts as the link. This is not only a new starting point for cultural exchange between China and Hungary, but also an important moment for martial arts and Chaozhou culture to advance hand in hand in Europe. We look forward to integrating the 24 Festival Drum, Chaozhou folk customs, and martial arts culture to create a new way of cultural presentation in Hungary and even Europe, promoting the better dissemination of Chinese culture in Europe and injecting new strength into the friendship between the Chinese and Hungarian peoples. ”Mike Sandor, Vice President of the Hungarian Zen Martial Alliance, said. The Hungarian Zen Martial Alliance was established in 2003 as the European headquarters of the International Zen Martial Alliance. As of now, the Hungarian Zen Martial Alliance has 15 member units, including many traditional Chinese cultural projects such as Chinese martial arts, Tai Chi, traditional Chinese medicine, tea art, calligraphy, lion and dragon dance, modern martial arts, and Sanda. It is reported that the Zen Martial Arts Alliance holds national martial arts competitions and diverse cultural and sports training camps every year, allowing students to practice martial arts, improve their skills, and experience traditional Chinese culture up close. At the event set against the backdrop of Chaozhou embroidery, Chaozhou wood carving, and Chaozhou hand pulled vermilion clay pots, Hungarian martial arts students practiced festival drums and English songs and dances, each with extraordinary skills. Li Kangdi, the president of Chaoxiang Drum Society, said, "We will appoint domestic coaches to guide Hungarian students. Through activities such as the Zen Martial Arts Culture Day of the Zen Martial Arts Alliance, the International Zen Martial Arts Traditional Kung Fu Competition, and the Chinese Culture Week, the rhythm of Chaozhou drum music, the rhythm of English songs and dances, and the techniques of Chinese martial arts will resonate with each other, allowing Chinese culture and Hungarian customs to complement each other
