On the evening of the 11th, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs, Culture, Heritage and Arts of Fiji jointly held the "Xi'an Drum Music and South Pacific Voice" concert in Suva, the capital of Fiji, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Fiji Chinese Cultural Center. More than 500 people, including officials from China and Fiji, representatives of overseas Chinese, and friends from all walks of life, watched the performance. On September 11th, at the "Xi'an Drum Music and the Voice of the South Pacific" concert held in Suva, the capital of Fiji, Chinese actors performed Xi'an drum music. On the evening, performers from the Xi'an Foreign Affairs Drum Orchestra and the Xi'an Foreign Affairs College Dance Troupe dressed in Tang style costumes, sang sheng, drums, string songs, and fluttering clothes, showcasing the beauty of Xi'an drum music that has been passed down for thousands of years to the audience. Fijian performers performed traditional Miq dance, presenting the daily lives of Fijian women in a seated position, accompanied by traditional Fijian and Tongan harmonies. At the end of the evening party, performers from both countries sang the Fiji song "Mountains" together with the accompaniment of Chinese classical instruments. Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian said that Chinese and Fijian performers join hands to perform, allowing the ancient Chinese civilization and the splendid Fijian civilization to shine together, conveying a common expectation for China Fiji relations and world peace and development. In 2006, Xi'an drum music was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list, and in 2009 it was included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
