China adds 4 more World Irrigation Heritage Sites

At the 76th International Executive Council meeting of the International Irrigation and Drainage Commission held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the morning of the 10th, the 2025 (12th batch) World Irrigation Heritage List was officially announced. China's four projects, including the Hani Terraces in Yuanyang, Yunnan, the Chishan Lake Irrigation Project in Jurong, Jiangsu, the Nanjiang Weir in Pengzhou, Sichuan, and the Yongding River Ancient Canal Irrigation Project in Mentougou, Beijing, were successfully selected. So far, the total number of world irrigation engineering heritage sites in China has reached 42. (New Society)
