On the 9th, Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital signed cooperation agreements with three universities, namely Hong Kong Baptist University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and University of Hong Kong, to collaborate in areas such as hospital governance, talent exchange, medical services, teaching and training, and scientific research. The Secretary for Medical and Health Services of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Lu Chongmao, witnessed the signing ceremony and delivered a speech. He stated that the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital has officially become a traditional Chinese medicine teaching hospital for three universities in Hong Kong, which is an important milestone in the development of traditional Chinese medicine services, teaching and training, and scientific research in Hong Kong. Lu Chongmao pointed out that the diversified clinical case resources of Hong Kong Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital will be combined with the strong scientific research capabilities of the three universities in the future to jointly promote scientific research in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. In addition, the hospital will leverage the international academic networks of the three universities to actively strengthen cooperation with traditional Chinese medicine institutions in mainland China and overseas, and jointly help promote the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine. It is reported that the clinical services of the Hong Kong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine cover six branches, namely, TCM Internal Medicine, TCM Surgery, TCM Gynecology, TCM Pediatrics, TCM Orthopedics and Traumatology, and TCM acupuncture and moxibustion. Traditional Chinese medicine experts from three universities will participate in clinical work at the hospital and jointly develop clinical standards and guidelines to ensure high-quality and safe services. As the first Chinese medicine hospital in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital will officially commence services on December 11th this year. (New Society)
