Among them, Tianjin has built 25 Luban workshops in 23 countries and 10 Luban workshops in SCO countries. The new "Luban Workshop" is located at Gumiliov State Eurasian University and Almaty Institute of Transportation and Logistics. The first "Luban Workshop" in Kazakhstan was established in 2023 at Sherikbayev Technical University in East Kazakhstan, and has become an important platform for promoting the development of engineering and technology education in the country. The international cooperation project named after the outstanding ancient Chinese craftsman Lu Ban shares the experience and achievements of Chinese vocational education with people around the world, which is a beneficial attempt for China's vocational and technical education to "go global". After entering the local area, Luban Workshop introduced advanced equipment such as China's high-speed rail simulation driving system and robots to train local students in driving control technology and operating procedures. For example, Thai students learn high-speed rail driving through simulated driving devices, while Pakistani students enhance their practical skills through exposure to intelligent warehousing, industrial robots, and other training equipment. Thirdly, promote cultural exchanges and people to people connectivity between China and the local area. Luban Workshop enhances cultural understanding and exchange through cultural experience activities and local student exchanges, promoting people to people connectivity. For example, during his study in Tianjin, Pakistani student Umar not only improved his professional and technical skills, but also integrated into local life, feeling the convenience of communication in the "world becoming smaller". At present, the cooperation field of Luban Workshop has expanded from traditional manufacturing to emerging fields such as new energy and digital economy, and has initially formed a vocational education cooperation network with the "Digital Silk Road" as the axis and driven by both energy and advanced manufacturing. Meanwhile, after several years of practice, Luban Workshop has achieved a strategic upgrade from a single technology to a trinity of "standard technology governance".
